BEIRUT — Systems at the Ministry of Finance stopped on Monday due to generator malfunctions.
According to a Ministry source, who is not allowed to talk to the press and thus requested anonymity, the Ministry can't currently repair the problem because they lack the necessary funds.
According to the source, if the caretaker cabinet makes an advance payment to the ministry to pay for generator repairs, the problem can be solved.
Lebanon has been suffering the harsh effects of an economic crisis since 2019 and several ministries have experienced a lack of funds since its onset.
