BEIRUT — Born in 1937 in Tripoli, Abdallah Homsi first became interested in acting at the age of 15. Then began his career alongside actor Salah Tizani, who played the character of Abou Salim in a series broadcast on Channel 5 of the national channel Télé Liban. He married Tizani's sister in 1959.
Homsi appeared in several of the Rahbani brother's series, plays and films, like Bent el Hares, Safar Barlik and Bayyaa' al-Khawatem. He also collaborated with iconic singer and actress Sabah, among others.
An athlete, Homsi practiced several sports in his youth and won the North Lebanon bodybuilding prize in 1955. He passionate about folklore and heritage.
