BEIRUT — Security guards at Batroun prison recently seized 12 cellphones from inmates, Internal Security Forces said in a Friday statement.
The ISF said the seizure took place "after a tight search" of the prison. The statement added that an investigation is ongoing with the relevant authorities.
Earlier this month, two prisoners died in Roumieh prison — Lebanon's main prison, located in Metn.
