BEIRUT — An 11-year-old child died and his mother was injured after a fire erupted in their house in Tripoli, North Lebanon, on Friday, L'Orient Today's correspondent in the region reported.
According to our correspondent, the mother, M.M., suffered from asphyxia and was admitted to Islamic Hospital in Tripoli for treatment.
Civil defense firefighting teams managed to extinguish the fire at the home, located in al-Tanak neighborhood of Mina, Tripoli. The fire destroyed furniture in one of the rooms and devastated the ceiling, made of wood and tin.
An investigation is underway to uncover the cause of the fire, according to our correspondent.
