BEIRUT — A man is suspected of shooting his wife and two daughters in their family home in the Burj al-Shamali Palestinian refugee camp near Sour, South Lebanon, on Monday before killing himself, our correspondent in the region reported, citing sources in the camp.
The mother and her two children were injured and were hospitalized. Their condition is not known at this stage.
The couple was reportedly already separated following a family dispute. Monday evening at the sunset iftar time to break their Ramadan fast, the man, who was a resident of Burj al-Shamali, allegedly arrived at the house where his wife and his two daughters live and shot them in the legs. He then allegedly ended his life by shooting himself in the head.
On March 25, a man allegedly shot his wife 10 times in Choueifat, south of Beirut, killing her.
