BEIRUT — Internal Security Forces (ISF) said Friday they had arrested several people suspected of assaulting a teenage boy and causing him to fall off a bridge near a mall in Dbayeh in early March.
The boy survived the attack with several injuries.
In a statement, the ISF said the group assaulted the 15-year-old boy, who was of Lebanese nationality, on March 3 at around 6 p.m. on a bridge near LeMall, a mall on the main coastal highway in Dbayeh.
Among the suspects are two Lebanese boys aged 16 and 17 and two Egyptian brothers aged 17 and 26, the statement said. The group allegedly attacked the 15-year-old boy for "personal reasons," with the teenagers waging the assault before the 26-year-old pushed him.
The push caused the teenager to fall over the bridge railing and onto the highway below, according to security footage posted by the ISF on their Twitter account.
