Solar panels stolen in Sir al-Dinniyeh burglary

BEIRUT — Unknown persons broke into a house in Sir al-Dinnieh, North Lebanon, and stole solar panels, the state-run National News Agency reported Wednesday.

The burglary of the house, located on the road leading to the town center, took place on Tuesday night while the residents were not at home.

The security forces were dispatched to the scene and opened an investigation into the incident.

Robberies have intensified since the start of the economic crisis in Lebanon in 2019, although authorities say the security situation is under control.
