BEIRUT — Lebanese state-owned telecoms operator Ogero announced on Thursday a breakdown in a fiber optic cable in the city of Jeb Jenin, in the West Bekaa, that led to an internet cutoff in the area.
Ogero's teams were working Thursday to resolve this outage, the operator announced in a short statement.
Ogero outages are common in Lebanon since the beginning of the economic crisis, notably due to thefts and cutoffs in electricity to operate stations.
