Second daily increase in fuel prices as lira continues free fall

BEIRUT — Fuel prices increased for the second time in Lebanon on Monday afternoon, according to the latest tariffs announced by the Energy Ministry. The Lebanese lira reached new record depreciation, trading at above LL68,000 to the US dollar on the parallel market on Monday.

Here are the new prices:

• Twenty liters of 95-octane gasoline: LL1,269,000, up by LL31,000

• Twenty liters of 98-octane gasoline: LL1,299,000, up by LL33,000

• Twenty liters of diesel: LL1,245,000, up by LL30,000

• Gas cylinder: LL814,000, up by LL20,000

• One kiloliter of fuel oil (used to supply private generators) remains unchanged at: $864.48
