Fuel prices fall slightly

BEIRUT — Fuel prices decreased in Lebanon on Thursday afternoon, according to the latest tariffs announced by the Energy Ministry.

This new prices come hours after the lira slightly appreciated from LL64,000 to LL63, 500 against the US dollar on the parallel market hours and a day after the official dollar peg was adjusted to LL15,000, a 90 percent devaluation from the LL1,507-to-the-dollar exchange rate which had been in place for 25 years.

Here are the new prices:

• Twenty liters of 95-octane gasoline: LL1,187,000, down by LL13,000

• Twenty liters of 98-octane gasoline: LL1,215,000, down by LL13,000

• Twenty liters of diesel: LL1,225,000, down by LL13,000

• Gas cylinder: LL752,000, down by LL8,000

•One kiloliter of fuel oil (used to supply private generators) at $909.73, unchanged
