Iranian officials have told the Syrian regime it would now have to pay more for the Islamic republic's oil. Price are set to double to a market rate of more than $70 a barrel, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Iran has also refused to extend new lines of credit to the Assad regime, WSJ said, asking Damascus to pay for new oil shipments in advance.
