BEIRUT — A fight between people in Dinnieh, North Lebanon, on Thursday left one person shot in the foot and another stabbed in the stomach with a knife. The stabbed person fled the scene, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Ambulance and relief teams worked to transfer the injured person to Tripoli Governmental Hospital for treatment, while members of the security forces came to the scene immediately and began their investigation into the incident.
The cause of the fight has not been disclosed.
Security incidents have multiplied recently in Lebanon, especially in Tripoli, North Lebanon, the poorest city in the country and where weapons are pervasive among the population.
