BEIRUT — The General Directorate of Road Traffic on Sunday said it will "stop all registration procedures for cars" next week due to a shortage in driving licenses and vehicle registration plates.

In a Twitter post, the directorate said that it will open on Tuesday and Wednesday of the upcoming week for other driving paperwork and on Thursday for vehicles' mechanical checkup procedures.

The directorate also said that driving license tests will be conducted on Wednesday and Thursday as usual.
