BEIRUT — Several people were injured Wednesday in an armed clash between two families in the Bekaa Valley village of Mashghara, L'Orient Today's correspondent there reported.
The clash reportedly started as a member of the al-Ammar family and a member of the Sharaf family entered into a verbal fight, which later escalated to an armed clash.
According to initial reports from L'Orient Today's correspondent, two people from the Sharaf family and three from the al-Ammar family had been injured.
Similar clashes have occurred frequently in recent months in the Bekaa, as authorities struggle to maintain security amid a countrywide economic collapse.
