Gunfire heard in the southern suburbs of Beirut

Sounds of gunfire were heard Monday afternoon in the southern suburbs of Beirut, near the Mar Mikhael church in the neighborhood of Mcharrafieh, several local media reported.

According to the daily an-Nahar, gunmen targeted Café 77 and opened fire in its direction. Members of the Lebanese army intelligence services arrived at the scene to contain the incident.

In a video shared on social networks, several shots can be heard, followed by gunfire.

Another video shows a man firing a weapon several times in the street.
