BEIRUT — The 36 dancers of the Lebanese troupe "Mayyas" ignited the stage of America's Got Talent Tuesday night, during the semifinals of the well-known TV show. Their innumerable hands waving, following the shape of the waves they draw, embodying snakes, and after three minutes of performance, the American public is sold.

Their performance was followed by a standing ovation from the judges and the audience. Proud of their all-Lebanese troupe, some brandished flags with the colors of the country of the cedar to support this all-female troupe, directed by choreographer Nadim Cherfan.
"This performance changes the world"
One of the four judges on the panel, Simon Cowell, said after the "Mayyas" number, that "every single person in this room is going to remember this moment, I promise you that.”
He continued by saying that this performance is “not just going to change your lives ... This is going to sound very excessive, but this performance is changing the world. It was so good that it commands respect,” he said.
"What an amazing way to end the show! The Mayyas produced one of the most beautiful and powerful moments I have ever seen on AGT!" tweeted Howie Mandel, another judge on the program. "What a moment! Great job by the Mayyas," agreed judge Heidi Klum in a tweet.
On the way to the final?
The 36 dancers had already amazed the jury during their first audition last June, so much so that they were offered a direct ticket to the quarterfinals. Their performance on Tuesday may allow them to be part of the two finalists and potentially win the competition.
The results will be announced this Wednesday, and a link has been shared on social networks to allow viewers to vote for their favorite artists. However, people are only able to vote from the US or US territories.
