Since early June, the Beirut municipality and police have issued tickets to several local bars and restaurants. However, there is still progress to be made to improve the residents’ daily lives and build a calm dialogue with businesses.

“I stayed here during the entire war, since 1975. Until the Beirut port explosion,” said Emilie Nassar as she opened the door to her apartment.
