BEIRUT — A prisoner escaped Friday from the Dar al-Hikma hospital in Baalbeck, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Here’s what we know:
• The man, who was only identified by the NNA as Y.A.N., was undergoing treatment in the hospital after being injured in the stomach during a search by the Lebanese Army a few days ago.
• According to the NNA, the escapee was in jail for reasons related to a robbery and shooting.
• Earlier this month, more than 30 detainees escaped from the Adlieh detention center in Beirut via a window after clandestinely bringing a tool into the prison, security and judicial sources reported.
