BEIRUT — A fire was reported Thursday in a Syrian refugee camp located in the Lebanese village of Arsal, in the Bekaa, burning down 14 tents, L’Orient-Le Jour's correspondent in the North reported.
Here’s what we know:
• Residents tried to extinguish the rapidly spreading flames. According to several testimonies, a loud bang was heard before the fire outbreak, but the origin of this explosion is still unclear.
• Several fires have already ravaged Syrian refugee camps where living and security conditions are deplorable. Some fires have caused casualties.
