BEIRUT — A fire broke out in green spaces in Akkar, in North Lebanon, on Saturday afternoon, our correspondent in the region reported.

Here's what we know:

    • According to his information, the flames were reported near the town of Hedd, near Deir Jenin, around 3 p.m. The fire was spreading from the side of the Ustouwan river up the mountain.

    • Residents have appealed to the Civil Defense to help them put out the fire.
