BEIRUT — A three-year-old girl died Saturday after being stung by a scorpion in the village of Haouchab in Akkar, North Lebanon, our correspondent in the area reported.
According to our correspondent, the child was bitten while sleeping, and was immediately transferred to Halba Government Hospital, located about 7 kilometers from the family home. She was received and treated at the hospital, but unfortunately passed away.
