BEIRUT — ISF announced Monday that they had arrested four men involved in “a large network of trade and trafficking" of drugs stored in two apartments in neighborhoods in the north of Beirut.

Here’s what we know:

  • The ISF stated that it has seized "significant quantities" of hashish and of cocaine, as well as more than $7,600 and LL156 million in raids in Bourj Hammoud and Sin al-Fil.

  • Equipment used to package and prepare the drugs was also seized, along with five cell phones. The four people arrested, who included three Syrians and a Lebanese citizen, admitted to having traded in drugs and to having stockpiled them. Investigations are still in progress, the ISF said.

  • A suspected drug dealer was arrested by the Lebanese Army on June 20 in al-Sharawneh neighborhood in Baalbeck, accused of being linked to “Abou Salle,” a drug dealer involved in car theft and weapons trade, who is still on the loose, according to a statement by the army.
