BEIRUT — Israeli armed forces on Saturday crossed the technical barrier with Lebanon for the second consecutive day.
Here's what we know:
• The crossing took place at the localities of Kroum Charaki and Kroum Mrah, on the border of the locality of Mais al-Jabal in South Lebanon.
• According to the state-run National News Agency, the Israeli military carried out search operations in the area, without however crossing the Blue Line, which serves as the border between the two countries.
• Border violations and security incidents are very frequent in this area. Two days ago, a Lebanese shepherd was abducted by the Israeli army south of the village of Shebaa, and taken to Israeli territory.
