BEIRUT — The Health Ministry announced on Thursday that caretaker Health Minister Firass Abiad had tested positive for COVID-19 after his return from his trip abroad.

• In a statement, the ministry said that Abiad has mild symptoms, and will be quarantined at home. The statement also said that Abiad has canceled all his pre-set meetings.
• Lebanon has registered 133 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. One person has died, raising the death toll to 10,433.
