BEIRUT — A statement issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces Public Relations Division stated that after the continuous follow-up carried out by the ISF to combat theft across the country, the division was able to arrest two suspects in motorcycle thefts in the Zaitunay Bay area.
Here’s what we know:
• The suspects are M.H. (born in 1992) and H. M. (born in 1985), both of whom have a history of theft, drug dealing and weapons trafficking.
• On May 28, the ISF said, they caught the suspects mid-theft, ambushed them and placed them under arrest.
• After interrogations, the ISF continued, the arrested men confessed to carrying out more than 15 bike thefts from Zaitunay Bay area, and selling them in Burj al-Barajneh camp, for sums of money ranging between LL2 million and LL3 million.
