BEIRUT — The Internal Security Forces announced Saturday the arrest of two men who allegedly disposed of a body in Bourj Hammoud.
Here’s what we know:
• A statement from the ISF said the corpse of a 25-year-old Indian man was found on April 19 which, according to their investigation, was disposed of by two Indian men, aged 25 and 28, aboard a motorcycle.
• The two men were arrested and the motorcycle was seized on April 29 in Dora. The two men allegedly confessed to disposing of the body, saying that the man had been their friend and had visited them on April 18, out of fear of being accused of murder. According to the statement, the deceased friend had been feeling ill but could not be brought to a hospital because the trio was in Lebanon illegally.
• The statement concluded that an investigation was underway to better understand the circumstances of the death.
