BEIRUT — Ogero, the public operator in charge of telecoms in Lebanon, announced Wednesday a breakdown in the optical fibers of the centers of Zgharta, Bakhoun and Alma in North Lebanon.

• The breakdown led to a shutdown of telecom services in these villages and neighboring regions.
• In a tweet, Ogero said that its technical teams are trying to repair the fault as quickly as possible.
