BEIRUT — Education Minister Abbas Halabi issued a decision on Wednesday to close high schools and public institutes from Thursday morning until Monday evening so that they can be used as polling stations for the parliamentary elections.

• The general parliamentary elections will be held on Sunday, but the ballot for workers in charge of organizing the electoral process will take place on Thursday.
• The decision issued by the minister notes that buildings of schools and public institutions will be used as polling stations for the elections across Lebanon, and will host election workers and security forces on Saturday, adding that on Monday, cleaning work will be carried out before students resume classes.
