BEIRUT — During a call with the Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned Sunday the terrorist attack on the Sinai Peninsula that occurred on Saturday.

• “We condemn this terrorist act that targeted our sister Egypt and its security and stability, and express our sympathy to the people of Egypt and the families of the victims in this ordeal, and we are confident that Egypt, led by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, is able to face all dangers firmly and recover,” Mikati said.
• On Saturday, a terrorist attack on the Sinai peninsula killed at least 11 members of the Egyptian army and injured five security personnel.
