BEIRUT — A waterspout off the coast of El Mina, North Lebanon, Friday caused an injury and material damage, L’Orient Today’s correspondent in the area reported.
Here’s what we know:
• The waterspout felled trees on Mina’s corniche and led to the hospitalization of a person at the scene. The storm blew away beachside restaurants’ terrace furniture.
• Waterspouts are a milder aquatic equivalent of terrestrial tornados, and typically only last a few minutes.
