BEIRUT — Two individuals were arrested for drug trafficking in Amchit, near Jbeil, the Internal Security Forces reported in a statement released Wednesday. These two people were arrested while in a vehicle from which they were selling cocaine in the region.
Here’s what we know:
• The suspects, a 33-year-old Lebanese and a 35-year-old Syrian, were apprehended while traveling in a blue Peugeot, which was seized, containing 51 packets of cocaine as well as a sum of money, the amount of which was not specified by the ISF.
• According to the statement, both men admitted to drug trafficking and were transferred to the competent court for trial.
