BEIRUT — The Israeli army Thursday abducted a Lebanese shepherd in the locality of al-Naqar in southern Lebanon, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Here’s what we know:
• "Israeli forces have arrested a shepherd who crossed the Blue Line towards Israel. The suspect has been transferred to security forces who have opened an investigation," a spokesman for the Israeli army Avichay Adraee said in a tweet.
• Security incidents of this kind are relatively frequent on the Lebanese-Israeli border. At the end of October, the Israeli army also arrested a shepherd in the Hasbani area in South Lebanon, who allegedly crossed the Lebanese-Israeli border. The two countries are technically in a state of war.
