BEIRUT — The Lebanese Army announced on Saturday that it received 70 tons of foodstuffs donated by Qatari prince Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamed II.
Here’s what we know:
• The donation was received in the presence of a delegation from the Qatari embassy and a representative of army commander Joseph Aoun, who thanked Ben Hamid II for his repeated initiatives to aid the Lebanese Army.
• Earlier this month the Lebanese army received several foodstuff donations from Turkey.
