BEIRUT — Premier Najib Mikati on Friday denounced the occupying forces' attacks on Palestinian worshippers at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, which left over 150 injured.

Here’s what we know:

    • In a statement, Mikati slammed that Israelis “continued desecration of sanctities” adding that Western powers “condoned the practices and aggressions of this usurping entity,” Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported.

    • “All hope remains in the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, who require support and assistance,” the prime minister added.

    • Earlier in the day, riot police from the occupying forces stormed the Mosque, one of the holiest sites in Islam, firing rubber bullets and using stun grenades and police batons against the crowd.
