BEIRUT — Four soldiers were wounded after a remnant war bomb exploded in Mghayteh-Dahr el-Baidar, in the Bekaa, the army wrote Thursday on its Twitter account.
Here’s what we know:
• The soldiers were cleaning a shooting range when a remnant bomb exploded and injured them.
• Exploding remnants scattered during the 1975-1990 Civil War and the 2006 war with Israel are frequent in Lebanon, and regularly cause injuries and deaths. Much of this ordinance has been disposed of through the help of the United Nations and NGOs.
