BEIRUT — Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, was received on Wednesday by President Michel Aoun at the Baabda Presidential Palace, five days after his return to Beirut.
Here’s what we know:
• Bukhari plans to meet today with Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
• The Saudi ambassador arrived in Beirut last Friday and started a tour on Monday, which has included meetings with several religious leaders as well as with the heads of government. His return to Beirut marks the end of a diplomatic crisis between Lebanon and several Gulf monarchies that began in October 2021.
