Ogero announces services outage in Tripoli

BEIRUT — The state-owned telecommunication company Ogero announced Thursday that its center in Tripoli is experiencing problems, causing a service outage in the region.

Here’s what we know:

    • “A power outage affected the Tripoli-Tebbaneh power plant due to an overload on the generators which caused the shutdown of our services in this region and surrounding areas,” the company said on Twitter. “Maintenance teams are working to fix the problem as quickly as possible,” it added.

    • Lebanon is suffering from electricity shortages which causes companies like Ogero to experience cuts in their services as they rely on generators for electricity.
