Israeli warship infiltrates waters off Ras al-Naqoura: Lebanese Army

BEIRUT — The Lebanese Army said in a statement Monday that an Israeli “military boat violated the Lebanese maritime borders near Ras al-Naqoura” in South Lebanon.

Here’s what we know:

    • The Lebanese Army said that the vessel infiltrated Lebanese coastal waters at a distance of 407 meters for a period of 50 minutes.

    • The Lebanese Army also said that the “violation is being followed up in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.”

    • On Friday, the Israeli army announced that a drone from Lebanon, the second in two days, had violated Israeli airspace. Later in the evening, Israeli warplanes entered Lebanese airspace, flying at low altitude and startling the residents of Beirut and its surrounding areas.

    • A day earlier, the Israeli army announced it had shot down a drone belonging to Hezbollah.
