BEIRUT — Premier Najib Mikati on Saturday met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Lebanon’s national news agency reported.
Here’s what we know:
• Mikati and the top French diplomat discussed relations between their respective countries and “Paris' efforts to support Lebanon in all sectors.”
• The NNA added that the two also spoke about an expected visit from Le Drian to Beirut in the near future.
• Earlier on Saturday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he had discussed Lebanon, among other topics, with Le Drian at the Munich Security Conference, which runs from Friday to Sunday.
• Mikati on Friday met with several dignitaries at the conference, which brings together top leaders.
