BEIRUT — Four suspects were arrested on suspicion of robbing a supermarket in Tariq al-Jadideh, according to a statement from the Internal Security Forces.
Here’s what we know:
• Masked individuals entered a supermarket on Jan. 26 and threatened employees with weapons. "The criminals then handcuffed the employee in charge of the cash register with an electric wire, and stole more than LL300 million," the Internal Security Forces reported.
• "They then took away the recordings of the surveillance cameras and fled in an unknown direction," the police added. These recordings were found abandoned in Ard Jalloul district.
• The robbers were apprehended on Jan. 27 and Jan. 31.
