Army: Two Israeli gunboats violated Lebanese waters on Wednesday

BEIRUT— The Lebanese Army issued a statement on Thursday saying that an Israeli gunboat had violated Lebanese waters and came 315 meters from Naqoura between 9:50 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Wednesday.

Here’s what we know:

    • The army also said a similar violation was recorded between 11:10 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. yesterday. This boat came to within around 333 meters.

    • The issue of these violations is being followed up in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, the statement said.
