BEIRUT— An explosion was just heard in the Kesrouan area that appears to have been caused by Israeli aircraft breaking the sound barrier, the NNA reported.
Here’s what we know:
• Social media users from South Lebanon also reported hearing a loud explosion. Others reported hearing a drone over Beirut.
• Intel sky, an aircraft tracker, tweeted that the Israeli Air Force was executing mock raids over Lebanon, shortly before it released an update noting that: “There is no Israeli UAV [drone] over Beirut currently, as it is reported, but a Cessna 208 EX (A349C0, N3104L) belonging to the Lebanese Air Force.”
