Fuel prices continue downward trend

BEIRUT — New fuel prices announced by the Energy Ministry Tuesday show a decrease in the prices of gasoline, diesel and cooking gas.

Here’s what we know:

    • The price of 20 liters of 95-octane and 98-octane gasoline dropped by LL6,800 and LL7,400, reaching LL362,400 and LL374,400 respectively.

    • Diesel fuel decreased by LL30,200 and now costs LL332,600. The price of a tank of cooking gas also fell, decreasing by LL28,600 to reach LL291,000.

    • On the other hand, international oil prices rose. “The price of a kiloliter of gasoline rose $15.60 in today's schedule to reach $615.53, instead of $599.93, while a kiloliter of diesel rose $21 to reach $636.
