BEIRUT — The Lebanese army arrested a woman and her daughter in the Bekaa area after seizing weapons and ammunition from their vehicle, the army said in a statement Tuesday.
Here’s what we know:
• In a statement, the Lebanese Army indicated that the woman and her daughter were arrested by an army patrol at a roadblock in Hermel “while they were trying to smuggle weapons hidden in their car.”
• According to the Lebanese army, two DShK-type machine guns were seized along with three Kalashnikov-type machine guns and five handguns, as well as ammunition.
