Ogero services go down across Akkar

BEIRUT — The state-owned telecommunications company Ogero announced Monday a cut in its services across the Akkar district of North Lebanon.

Here’s what we know:

    • “Our technical teams are trying to repair the failure as quickly as possible,” Ogero said in a tweet.

    • In early December, residents of Akkar experienced a total internet blackout that lasted for several days.

    • Telecommunication services have experienced regular interruptions in recent months due to severe cuts in state electricity causing an overload on the private generators needed to operate telecom stations.
