BEIRUT — Rafik Hariri International Airport announced that it is currently seeing roughly 7,000 daily arrivals as the holiday travel season gets underway.
Here’s what we know:
• November saw 155,760 arrivals, a 56 percent increase over November 2020. There were 186,462 departures during that month.
• November brought the year-to-date total number of passengers at the airport in either direction to 3.87 million, a 75 percent increase over the first 11 months of 2020.
• During the first two weeks of December, the airport recorded 167,210 passengers, including 87,593 arrivals into Lebanon.
• Most arriving passengers are Lebanese, the airport said.
