BEIRUT — Two women, a mother and daughter, were found dead Thursday morning at their home in the locality of Sowaireh, in the Bekaa, L’Orient Today’s correspondent in the area reported.

• The police and a forensic doctor attended the scene of the tragedy.
• Preliminary investigations show that the women were likely asphyxiated after a gas leak, the forensic doctor at the scene told L’Orient Today’s correspondent.
• The victims were aged 40 and 76 years.
