BEIRUT — Demonstrators on Monday evening blocked the road leading to Beddawi in north Lebanon and one leading to Saida in the south to protest deteriorating living conditions.
What we know:
• Protesters used cars and trucks to cut the road to Beddawi, causing traffic jams, the NNA reported.
• Meanwhile, in the south, demonstrators blocked the road at Ghazieh outside Saida to denounce countrywide power cuts amid persistent fuel shortages.
• Earlier Monday, truck owners unable to obtain gasoline blocked the northern entrance to Saida, while demonstrators blocked several roads inside the southern port city.
