In the streets of Nabatieh, devastated by Israeli bombings

Since Saturday, Oct.12, the Israeli army has relentlessly targeted Nabatieh, in southern Lebanon. First, the city's old souks were reduced to ashes. Then, on Wednesday, Nabatieh was caught in a ‘ring of fire’ created by around fifteen Israeli strikes. One of the bombs hit the city's Serail, where a ‘crisis cell’ meeting was being held. At least sixteen people, including the mayor of Nabatieh, were killed, and about fifty others were injured, according to the Ministry of Health.

The Israeli army stated it had struck "dozens of Hezbollah targets" in the city, including "infrastructure," "command centers," and "weapon storage sites" that Hezbollah had integrated near civilian structures. Imran Riza, the U.N. humanitarian coordinator assigned to Lebanon, condemned the operation as a "disastrous attack."
