An Israeli drone strike killed a Palestinian in Gaza City, while several others were wounded by Israeli fire in Khan Younis, according to Al Jazeera, as Israel continues to bombard the enclave despite the "cease-fire."

Medical sources at al-Shifa Hospital said the deadly strike targeted a vehicle near Ansar roundabout in western Gaza City, Al Jazeera reported.

In southern Gaza, Israeli soldiers opened fire on Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, wounding four people, including a young girl, the broadcaster reported. The area lies outside the territory controlled by Israeli troops, who occupy nearly 60% of the enclave.

Other Israeli airstrikes were reported in northern Gaza, according to several media outlets and local journalists.

As part of the first phase of a U.S.-brokered "cease-fire" that took effect nearly a year ago, a "Yellow Line" was established to mark the territory occupied by Israel, which then covered slightly more than 50% of the Gaza Strip. Israel has since expanded this area. In May, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel controlled 60% of Gaza and intended to increase that share to 70%.

In its latest tally, Gaza's Health Ministry said 1,439 people had been killed and 5,052 wounded by near-daily Israeli military strikes and gunfire since the "cease-fire" took effect on Oct. 11, 2025.

In total, at least 74,040 Palestinians have been killed and 175,168 others wounded in Gaza since Israel began its genocidal war against the enclave following the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023, which killed nearly 1,200 people in southern Israel.
